The Colorado Ranch is located in La Salle County in the heart of Texas big buck brush country. The Colorado Ranch  got its name from the fertile red soil. Hence, the name Colorado which means 'Red' in Spanish. The privately owned ranch has been designated a Texas Century Ranch by the Texas Department of Agriculture. This prestigious designation verifies that the Colorado Ranch  has been continuously owned and operated by the same family for over 100 years. The Colorado Ranch has been privately hunted by only family members for years. This year the ranch will be open to sportsmen for a very limited number of guided hunts.  The Colorado Ranch , which consists of 6000 acres , has been under intensive wildlife management since 1979. It is home to an excellent habitat, including guajillo, granejo, guayacan, black brush plus many other species known for their high protein content. This high quality habitat along with intense management has resulted in many trophy bucks.
